Brief Summary

provided by EOL authors

Titanomis sisyrota is a rarely collected moth native to New Zealand. The phylogenetic affinities of this species are uncertain. There have been just ten recorded captures, and only eight specimens exist in collections (Hoare 2001). With a wing span of about 6 cm, these are fairly large moths. The hindwings are shaggy, dark brown with dark streaks on the veins and a white border to the forewings (Hoare 2001). Very little is known about the natural history of this species.
