Liatris aspera (Tall Blazing Star) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Eastern North America, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Flowers are visited by Monarch, Polites peckius, Great Spangled Fritillary, and Aphrodite Fritillary. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
