Melilotus officinalis (Common Melilot) is a herbaceous species of plants in the family Fabaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has compound, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Grapeleaf Skeletonizer, Orange Sulphur, Honey bee, and 'Siva' Juniper Hairstreak. It is a photoautotroph.
