Centrosema virginianum (Spurred Butterfly Pea) is a species of perennial herb in the family Fabaceae. It is a climber. It is native to the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pampa, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Cerrado, Paraíba, São Paulo, Paraná, Piauí, Pará, Mata Atlântica, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Acre (Brazil), Pernambuco, Amapá, Rio Grande do Norte, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Caatinga, Amazônia, Alagoas, Santa Catarina, Amazônia, Pantanal, Goiás, and Minas Gerais. Spurred Butterfly Pea has compound, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Swarthy Skipper. Spurred Butterfly Pea fixes nitrogen. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.38 m.
