Baptisia australis (Blue Wild Indigo) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have compound, broad leaves and magenta flowers. Flowers are visited by Brown-belted Bumblebee, Two-spotted Bumblebee, Black Swallowtail, and Broad-handed Leaf-cutter Bee. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
