Desmodium canadense (showy ticktrefoil) is a herb species of plants in the family Fabaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has compound, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by American Carrion Beetle, Cupido comyntas, Cupido comyntas, and Baltimore Checkerspot. It is a photoautotroph.
