Kerria japonica (Japanese Rose) is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Melanostoma scalare (Fabricius 1794). Japanese Rose is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 1.7 m.
