Licania michauxii (Gopher Apple) is a species of shrub in the family Chrysobalanaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum nymphale, Gray Hairstreak, Augochlorella aurata, and Augochloropsis sumptuosa. Individuals can grow to 20 m.
