Prunus laurocerasus (Cherry Laurel) is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Melangyna cincta, Pseudothyris sepulchralis, Red Admiral, and Syrphus torvus. Individuals can grow to 5 m.
