They are native to The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and United States. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Satyrium saepium, Hoplitis fulgida, Hoplitis albifrons argentifrons, and White Shouldered Bumble Bee. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
