Rubus caesius is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Brown-banded carder bee, Macropis europaea, Bombus campestris, and Colletid bee. Individuals can grow to 0.47 m.
