Malacothamnus (Bushmallow) is a genus of shrub in the family mallows. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Western North America. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Heliopetes ericetorum, Closterocoris amoenus, Black Tail Bumble Bee, and Yellow-bellied Bee Assassin.
