They are native to Espirito Santo, Paraná, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, Pará, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Rio De Janeiro, Amapá, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Bahia, and Roraima. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m. They have alternation of generations.
