They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Amapá, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Mata AtlâNtica, AmazôNia, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, Roraima, Pernambuco, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pará, AmazôNia, Minas Gerais, Acre (Brazil), and Bahia. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
