Brief Summary

provided by EOL authors
There are around 3,200 species of treehopper or thorn bug. These insects have a pointy horn on their backs that looks like a thorn. The thorn probably helps them hide from birds and other predators. Treehoppers feed on sap by cutting plants with their sharp beaks.
