They are native to Caatinga, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Puerto Rico, AmazôNia, Mata AtlâNtica, Bahia, Roraima, Espirito Santo, Pará, Santa Catarina, Mata AtlâNtica, Pernambuco, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), Amapá, Mata AtlâNtica, Rio De Janeiro, and Mato Grosso. They have compound, compound leaves. They have alternation of generations.
