Caulophyllum thalictroides (Blue Cohosh) is a species of perennial herb in the family Berberidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Spilomyia, Sarcophaga sinuata, Dynatosoma thoracicum, and Bracon pygmaeus. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
