Thalictrum occidentale is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Alaska, and Western North America. They have broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Platycheirus modestus and Melanostoma mellinum.
