Populus alba (White Poplar) is a species of tree in the family Salicaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. White Poplar is native to Czech Republic, Spain, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Poland, Germany, Albania, Turkey, Algeria, Hungary, Austria, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Greece, Russia, Yugoslavia, Tunisia, Morocco, Italy, Kazakhstan, Romania, and China. It has simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Egle concomitans (Pandelle 1900). White Poplar is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 100 feet.
