Pereskia aculeata (Barbados Shrub) is a species of shrub in the family cacti. They are succulent plants. They are native to Rio De Janeiro, Ceará, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Cerrado, Maranhao, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, GoiáS, The Neotropics, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Caatinga, Minas Gerais, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, and Paraná. Flowers are visited by Trigona spinipes and Melipona quadrifasciata.
