Blinks is native to Alaska, Canada, the contiguous United States, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Greenland, western north america, Indonesia, Tanzania, Greenland, United States, Ecuador, Estonia, Germany, Denmark, Romania, Iceland, Finland, Greece, France, Italy, Uganda, Latvia, Kenya, Morocco, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Austria, Lithuania, Portugal, Norway, Ethiopia, Hungary, Canada, Yugoslavia, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, Colombia, Australia, Spain, Turkey, Angola, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Bolivia, and Ireland. It has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.11 m.
