Persicaria punctata (Dotted Smartweed) is a species of herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to South America. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Toxomerus boscii, Perilampus platigaster, Calleida punctata, and Chalcosyrphus nemorum. Individuals can grow to 0.15 m.
