Rumex obtusifolius (Bitter Dock) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Yugoslavia, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Portugal, Czech Republic, Norway, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Moldova, China, Sweden, Hungary, France, Albania, Bulgaria, Iran, Turkey, Romania, The Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Spain, central europe, Switzerland, Algeria, Belarus, Greece, Georgia, and Latvia. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Individuals can grow to 0.55 m.
