Adansonia digitata (African Baobab) is a species of tree in the family Malvaceae. It is a succulent plant. It has a self-supporting growth form. African Baobab has broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Paragalago zanzibaricus udzungwensis (Honess ex Kingdon 1997). African Baobab is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
