Adansonia digitata (African Baobab) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Pteropus seychellensis comorensis, Zanzibar bushbaby, Trigona spinipes, and Old World fruit bats. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
