Alcea rosea (Hollyhock) is a species of biennial herb in the family Malvaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Bombus cryptarum, Hunt bumble bee, and Bumble Bees. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
