Lobularia maritima (sweet alyssum) is a herbaceous species of plants in the family Brassicaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Toxomerus geminatus (Say 1823), Common Oblique Syrphid, Monarch, and Toxomerus geminatus (Say 1823). It is a photoautotroph.
