Vaccinium uliginosum (Alpine Bilberry) is a species of shrub in the family Ericaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, Western North America, Alaska, Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, United States, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Melanostoma mellinum, Gonia picea, Culicoides, and mining bee. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
