Ribes nigrum (Black Currant) is a species of shrub in the family gooseberries. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Bombus monticola, White-tailed bumblebee, Tawny Mining Bee, and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
