Elaeagnus angustifolia (Russian Olive) is a species of tree in the family Elaeagnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pakistan, Iran, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, India, United States, Russia, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, North America, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and China. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Red Admiral, apoid wasp, Edwards' Fritillary, and Honeybees. Individuals can grow to 35 feet.
