Elaeagnus commutata is a species of shrub in the family Elaeagnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Contiguous United States, United States, North America, Canada, Alaska, and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Helophilus latifrons, Bombus ternarius, Bombus huntii, and digger bees. Individuals can grow to 12 feet.
