Ceanothus americanus (New Jersey Tea) is a species of shrub in the family Rhamnaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to United States, North America, The Contiguous United States, Canada, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Cynomyia, White-margined Burrower Bug, Psammochares, and Thecla. Individuals can grow to 0.96 m.
