They are native to Western North America, The Contiguous United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and orange flowers. Flowers are visited by Dufourea, Leptotes marina, Xylocopa sonorina, and Erynnis funeralis. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
