Eryngium campestre (field eryngo) is a herb species of plants in the family Apiaceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Arethusana arethusa Schiffermüller 1775, Sphecodes, Chlorophorus varius (Müller 1766), and common blue. It is a photoautotroph.
