Angelica atropurpurea (Purplestem Angelica) is a species of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Lemon Cuckoo Bumblebee, Parhelophilus laetus, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Dialictus.
