Asclepias curassavica (Tropical Milkweed) is a species of shrub in the family Apocynaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Mata AtlâNtica, Pernambuco, Pantanal, Caatinga, Espirito Santo, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, GoiáS, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Piauí, Rio Grande Do Norte, AmazôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Pampa, Mato Grosso, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso Do Sul, AmazôNia, SãO Paulo, Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, and Amapá. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by queen, Anartia jatrophae, Danaus plexippus plexippus, and Danaus plexippus. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
