They are native to Paraná, Pará, Rio Grande Do Sul, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, and Minas Gerais. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Augochloropsis. Individuals can grow to 0.66 m.
