Paspalum pumilum is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Rio Grande Do Norte, Mata Atlântica, Distrito Federal, Amazônia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Roraima, Cerrado, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Pará, Pampa, GoiáS, Santa Catarina, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.15 m.
