Heliotropium indicum (Indian Heliotrope) is a species of annual herb in the family Boraginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Tocantins, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Pantanal, GoiáS, Pampa, Piauí, Ceará, Amapá, Bahia, Pará, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, and Paraná. They have simple, broad leaves and drupe. Flowers are visited by Soldier and common tiger. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
