Mertensia virginica (Virginia Bluebell) is a species of perennial herb in the family Boraginaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by Deilephila, Hummingbird Clearwing, hummingbirds, and Monarch. Individuals can grow to 2.3 feet.
