Cosmos sulphureus (sulphur cosmos) is a herbaceous species of plant in the family Asteraceae, with a self-supporting growth habit. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Gulf Fritillary, Parrhasius m-album moctezuma (Clench 1970), and Chiomara georgina. It is a photoautotroph.
