They are native to AmazôNia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, Minas Gerais, Paraná, AmazôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Ceará, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Mata AtlâNtica, Rio Grande Do Sul, ParaíBa, Bahia, Pará, Acre (Brazil), SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso, GoiáS, RondôNia, and Amapá. They have broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 23 m.
