They are native to Caatinga, Sergipe, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Mato Grosso, GoiáS, Maranhao, Pará, Mata AtlâNtica, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, SãO Paulo, Paraná, AmazôNia, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Piauí, Rio De Janeiro, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Pantanal, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. Flowers are visited by Brachygastra lecheguana (Latreille 1824) and Polybia sericea (Olivier 1792).
