It is native to Rondônia, Roraima, Pará, Maranhao, Amapá, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, Amazônia, and Acre (Brazil). Jacaranda copaia has compound, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
