They are native to Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Rio De Janeiro, SãO Paulo, Pampa, Bahia, Mata Atlântica, and South America. They have compound, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Palpada vinetorum, Monarch, and Ruddy Daggerwing.
