Ceiba speciosa (Pink Kapok Tree) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Santa Catarina, Pará, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Espirito Santo, Bahia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, The Neotropics, Caatinga, Amazônia, Paraná, Minas Gerais, and Rio De Janeiro. They have broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Whirlabout, Cymaenes trebius, Large Orange Sulphur, and Sparkling-tailed Woodstar. Individuals can grow to 4.7 m.
