Tridax procumbens (Coatbuttons) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. It is a climber. It has a self-supporting growth form. Coatbuttons is native to Minas Gerais, Bahia, Espirito Santo, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Santa Catarina, Ceará, Pantanal, Caatinga, Cerrado, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Mata Atlântica, Alagoas, Rondônia, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, and the Neotropics. It has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Reakirt's Blue. Coatbuttons is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.83 m.
