Vernonia fasciculata (Prairie Ironweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Pearl Crescent, Chauliognathus pensylvanicus, Eastern Giant Swallowtail, and American Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 12 dm.
