Xylorhiza tortifolia is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and North America. They have broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Apis mellifera, Euchloe lotta, Hoplomachidea consors, and Megachile.
