Vernonia noveboracensis (New York Ironweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Sachem, Monarch, Zadontomerus, and Common Eastern Bumblebee. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet.
