Cyperus flavescens (Yellow Flat Sedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Santa Catarina, AmazôNia, GoiáS, Espirito Santo, Mata AtlâNtica, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Pampa, Alagoas, ParaíBa, Piauí, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Tocantins, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Caatinga, and Roraima. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
