Vernonanthura patens is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Neotropics, Acre (Brazil), Mata Atlântica, AmazôNia, and Minas Gerais. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Scaptotrigona pectoralis, and Partamona orizabaensis. Individuals can grow to 5.9 m.
